@cheeseburgerally tbh in similar and just depressive moments i use one specific "gratitude" thing. i kinda hate the whole "gratitude" concept cuz tf should i be grateful if literally lots of suff could be different and better. so, i use anoither way of it. basically my family taught me cuz i was persistently self-sabotaging. be grateful to yourself. for small things. that you noticed how tired you are and chose to rest, that you chose to eat a healthy thing instead of a snack, that you watched a cute video instead of doomscrolling. it feels kinda cringe at first but then later it makes you realise like a lot of things about how actually cool you are and how you deserve all that healthy stuff, and you actually start to care for yourself more (ig the brain considers it sorta achievements for which it gets encouraged???). like, it fr lessened my self-sabotage, but it took months and i still do dumb harmful shite sometimes ofc, but it really improves the things.

tbh the fact that Krita has the most powerful and amazing brush engine makes me giggle all the time. like, people pay for literal crap n spywhere and then ask which premium assets were used but the "premium assets" are just free brushes from a free drawing app :) never stops to make me feel satisfied. ngl i pity some of them who just never knew other options other than Adobe exist. but those who chose paid spyware? nay, i look down at them and am not ashamed. those who chose to support the enemy and to suffer in the process dont look like those who can change their mindsets, 'tis like donating to muskrat and sometimes 'tis even literally that. and they dont even get all the cool perks n features we have here in FOSS, wtf for what exactly they suffer if they dont even have anything real cool lol. like, i was an Apple user. involuntarily! but i still treat it as experience and think of it as a kinda valuable experience cuz i have all the rights to say how shitty Apple is in reality. oh fuck how i hate Apple, i could rant for whole days if i wanted to spoil my mood lol. they couldnt even steal the original code normally, they made that creepy abomination. and yet still my tech i bought for FOSS stuff costed me more than my Apple tech... amazes me every time but ig 'tis cuz my normal tech is actually good and reliable lol. and aye once again repeating it, Procreate is not suitable for dysfunctional folks, its UI was a fucking torture for me, it almost made me quit drawing cuz i was sure all apps are made this way, yet i risked and we got me a Tab for Krita and Krita appeared to be superb and a hundred times better than i expected. so, i better fr will just donate to FOSS guys when i can, enjoy their cool stuff and promote it.

and aye, i overworked and overstressed and 'tis that meme about "when my disabilities make me disabled" cuz it happens every damn time and i know that it'll happen yet i overexert myself again and again and get literal fever cuz of it each time 🫠
am trying to take care now, but i cant be sure i will do it properly cuz even my family not always can catch me on the spot doing this crap lmao... am lightning fast about self-sabotage.

damn it infuriates me that i cant use some of my characters. cuz of stalkering bitches from my past. like, am not afraid to be deanonymised (well i plan to sell my craft, what can be more deanonymising lmao), am afraid of those bitches stalkering us again. our family already suffered enough, and we're even still in the uk (un-fucking-fortunately), and even when we'll manage to be free and in a normal safe country, it doesnt matter that the bitches will become harmless. i anyway dont even know any of their locations tbh, no guarantees to be safe anywhere.
i fucking hate stalkers, i fucking cant enjoy my silly art cuz of them! 'tis just all so unfair and is basically dumb, the fuck some bitches even when cut off, can still inflict so much stress and damage?!
i'll try to rework at least some characters ig, but some i will have to hide and enjoy with my family only cuz i dont want to rework them... but i would fr like to add them to my portfolio, about all the worldbuilding and stuff.
i wish all stalkers and creeps to fucking go fuck themselves, this shite should never ever exist. unfair traumatising crap it is. fuck it.

@cheeseburgerally hey, i hope you're okay out there! am extremely sorry that i still didnt finish the cat character for you, i just fr dumbly assumed that artfight is my daily job when it briught me no money and only burnout and i could fill my portfolio with works for awesome people like you instead. well, my brain's kinda cooked and am dumb, you know... am currently ill from stress and trying to finish urgent crap, in autumn i might disappear for a few months even, but i will try my best to finish that artwork till autumn cuz to not make you wait for all our real life stuff to be sorted out. sorry again, i will try to make you an animated avatar as compensation if you'll want ^^

thanks GIMP has the perfect animation engine for my case, i freaking cant do all those animations techniques presented in Krita, am old and i do every frame as a separated file, my first old animations i did on paper, like am this ancient.....
soooo, needed to try something simple and for some reason i encountered this character and as am with temperature and barely functioning, i made THIS 🐱

one of experiments with style 'twas, again. two brushes as always plus some smudging tools for bg. the point was in making it semi-realistic, simplified but not stylised, sorta dreamy and light.

folks i need like real honest reviews/suggestions ig.
i've looked into art station alternatives (i need a portfolio site, not a blogging platform like i do on mastodon) and i've found ArtFol, Artgram and Cara. so, which you'd say are no-no, which are better, what are pros n cons etc? like, i mean, ethically too cuz i dont wanna support some bigots or algorithms ('tis why am not on art station for example). also if u know other platforms which act more like portfolio (aye, art station kinda style ig) - pls lmk!
i was looking into toyhouse but it seems to be a closed platform and requires invitation plus without having an account i couldnt even explore it...
