@ageha @scathach the reason why they're full of shit is that in dozens of other contexts they fully admit that what you want individually can be bad socially and societally (which is true) they just turn it off if it would mean they personally might look like they're criticizing brown people, even when it's a total 180

@ageha @vriska @scathach the discourse in feminism is derogatorily calling it "choice feminism" in other contexts. so like, you are "free" to do x, but we can actually stop you legally from exercising your individual freedom where your choice hurts women as a class. 

personally I am not like, "women shouldn't have rights" I am just really realizing the extent of the gap between feminism as an ideal "women should be treated equally and their specific social needs met" and how that actually manifested as a real-world political movement.
