:flag_nonbinary:
Hello hello, welcome to my corner on the 'verse.
I'm just a normal creacher who, after looking at this social media thingy for a while, decided to try it out.

Approximate knowledge on many subjects, mostly nerd-adjacent (like programming, game design, history and sci-fi book lore).

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, doubts, complaints, suggestions, medical opinions, constructive feedback, destructive feedback or advice.

English isn't my native language, so you might get some mix-ups from time to time.

Autist/ADHD. I have very limited vagueposting detection capabilities. Sorry.

Flirts welcome though! In a poly relationship.

A normal Velociraptor on Fediverse@RegularRaptor@mk.absturztau.be (2026-08-04 22:53:27) I just remembered I could ask the internet for help on this issue

I have a wonky sleep schedule, but the main issue I have to deal with daily is uncontrolably falling asleep while doing something. It doesn't always happen the same way (that is, I couldn't find a trigger or some preceding symptoms), but it mostly happens when I am doing something that requires attention but not that much interaction. I very rarely have that while driving (but I don't feel safe having a long drive by myself because of that), but I very often do have it during classes or lectures. Reading things also becomes a coin toss whether I'm able to or not. Having a lot of sleep on the previous night doesn't prevent it. Sometimes I can pay attention for over 30 minutes before sleeping, sometimes I'm knocked out within less than 10 minutes.

I've had this since childhood but it took until getting out of university that I realized it wasn't normal (oops).

Anyone has any idea on what might be and what can I do about it? I did do sleep apnea and narcolepsy tests but they weren't conclusive and no doctor I came across gave me an answer.
