But it does seem to be the case that business leaders get to make decisions that they know will result in deaths, often mass deaths, and that's just considered a cost of business. Maybe they get a tiny fine now and then, or a lawsuit penalty that hardly scratches into their profits. In fact, deaths that can be avoided, but aren't, in the pursuit of profits is seldom, if ever, even treated as manslaughter.
