I wonder why is it that reading novel leaves a more deep impression for me than visual medium like anime. But study says human absorb more information visually. Its like, anime scenes fades overtime from my memories, but novel ideas still stuck with me. Like, the scene I imagine of itself keep changing overtime, but the idea itself still lodged in my mind.
Now that I think about it, even the anime scenes that have fade still gave me a rough idea of what its trying to say, while details fade, the idea itself is still there.
I wonder if because when reading a novel I internalize the sentence, so the idea itself felt much more strongly than watching an anime where I just absorb it along the runtime.

@dararah When you watch anime, you just passively consume the visuals. When you read a novel, your brain has to do more work because you have to imagine the visuals yourself
