When I quit the only office job I'd ever had at a trucking company I went computer to computer before the rest of the office was at work and changed all the computer homepages to meatspin. I never went back. I'm told it was hilarious

I don't understand it. The waitress literally tells the cook what to make and carries the plate. She doesn't grow the grain for the bun, she doesn't raise or slaughter the cow for the burger. She doesn't harvest and cut the potatoes for the fries. She doesn't even cook it. Why should she get 25% of the cost of an item she had almost no role in making or preparing

I remember it being 10% but then again I live in South Carolina and we didn't get the 90s until 2008

It has. I don't know when percentage based tipping started here but when I was growing up you went and ate. If the service was good you tossed down 2-5 bucks and that was it. The tip wasn't expected to be based on your bill because paying someone more money to carry a plate with different food on it seemed insane

Tipping is out of control and I say that as a person that used to work food service. There is a gas station here in town that has a tip jar. What possible fucking service could a gas station cashier provide that I would think "Wow that was above and beyond, better drop them a fiver"

Thats another pet peeve I've developed in the last few years. They're calling everything that does anything an AI. "Oh this coffee maker has AI. It starts itself every morning at 7am"

I don't care about boomers anymore. Strip their social security and jam them in the suicide booth. They're literally not happy unless modern young people are going through the hell they lie about going through
