@hj what's great is, in this editor, you paint using flats, then it has a render step for the dithers, so adding dithering is never truly "destructive". you can select entire dither regions trivially.

color matching even more improved. But, here's what's interesting in this update: GRADIENT FILLS. Look outside the window in the background, it's not flat anymore.
the dither patterns and indexed colors are interpreted into ramps. Then, you can plop down a draggable line to paint the flats for a gradient across those colors.
I also have a website, almost ready to share to invited artists.
