The thing I love most about the US right's obsession with the Spartans, is that the Spartans weren't even good at war. They weren't. 🤷🏿‍♂️

They were obsessed with *battle*.  But battle is not war. When you look at their war track record? They lost as much as they won against the poets, farmers and wine drinkers.🤡

Even their battle win loss record was 50/50, and only if you count battles where they fought as part of a coalition. When you look at battles where they fought alone? They lost more than they won.🤡

Why? A silly belief that they were superior, meant they didn't change tactics. They were predictable.

hello nerds, can you help #GoToSocial out with a monthly donation to our OpenCollective?

we're trying to get together an income of a few thousand euros a month to supplement @dumpsterqueer and @kim's work on GoToSocial; currently we're on 1200ish per month, which is amazing, but we'd like to end up around 2400 / month, or ideally more! that will give us a lot more freedom to continue to work on the project full time without having to look in consternation at our bank accounts, and worry about grant money running dry

if we get enough, we can even eventually look at welcoming another developer to the gotosocial treehouse to assist us in pulling bugs off the sloth, combing its hair etc

if you work at a company that would be interested in sponsoring us by sending donations to our OpenCollective, in exchange for a mention / logo on our docs and website, we're very open to that, assuming the company aligns with our ethics (see our code of conduct to get an idea)

[x] setup mounting external drives
    [x] setup automount for external drives
[x] install & setup nodejs for quartz
    [ ] check each quartz dirs
[x] install copyparty & import configs
    [ ] check if copyparty is running as intended
[x] restore docker services & db and recheck each statuses
    [/] actually run each docker services and re-setup the ones that missing from backup
[x] install and setup adguardhome
[ ] setup mpd
fuck sake I only noticed my docker db backup is several week older than I want them. should've at least copied the compose files when I could :bocchi_glitch:

Prediction: Now that modern computing is going the way it goes (pricing, "AI", the bunch of rich ignorants running the show), I guess we are going to see another renaissance of #vintagecomputing #permacomputing and #retrocomputing. And I’m absolutely and utterly here for that.
